Design And Implementation Of Embedded Agent Of Convergence Protocol Converter

Alone with large customers access more and more, the requirements of private lines access are continuously improved. That makes the telecommunications operator's access network to a higher demand, at the same time that brings more pressure. How to optimize the network structure, standardize the networking method of large customers, and gradually realizing the unification of the customer access equipment types and version have become more and more concerned about by Telecom operators.Convergence Protocol Converter is the integration of the association PDH, EOS, protocol converter, media converter, and other existing common access equipment. It is used in the existing MAN edge, as a new integrated device and preferable solutions of Telecom operators' large customer access to the multi-service access point applications. The purpose of this subject is to design and realize an embedded agent of Convergence Protocol Converter.To design and realize the embedded agent, this system designs CLI, SNMP, IDB and 485 bus serial communication with VxWorks. According to the feature of Convergence Protocol Converter, this subject design a private Topology Discovery Management protocol and a flexible performance statistic solution. The full-range network management solution in this thesis can be applied in circle and bus topology structures of convergence protocol converter. Users can implement neighbor discovery, creation of topology information and full topology management through topology lookup protocol. Once the management process is connected with any device in the given topology structure, users can find and manage all devices in this topology network. All devices in the network also can initiatively report alarm information to the management process. Management process can easily acquire all interface performance statistics data of convergence protocol converter through a group of predefined MIB. This performance statistics solution not only is satisfied with the feature of convergence protocol converter with variety of interfaces, but also can configure data incremental or no-incremental mode, furthermore can derive the current time from devices. This solution also has excellent transplant ability which means the program can run in devices with different OS by a little work of code modification.According to the products testing results and application, it shows that the design of embedded agent is stability and can match the real demand.
