Study Of Gateway Between PROFIBUS-DP And Ethernet

PROFIBUS-DP is applied mainly in high-speed transmission among local devices.The cycle transmission is performed through high-speed serial bus among MCU and local devices .Ethernet has many advantages such as applying widely,lower price,high baudrate,etc.With the widely spreading of Internet , researching and developing of field bus equipments based on embedded TCP/IP and Ethernet are beneficial to lowering the enterprise networking cost ,propelling the using of Ethernet as field bus ,and realizing equipment remote management via Internet.The researched gateway on the present paper provides the communication support to the access data on the PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus which by the Internet. This gateway and the field bus's connection part is a monitor station.This paper uses the way of "microcontroller + UART" to realize it. This gateway and the Ethernet's connection part are an communication node of Ethernet. This paper uses the way of "the microcontroller + Ethernet controller" to realize it.The experimental result indicated that the proposed solution of this paper has realized the goal of data transmission from PROFIBUS bus to the Ethernet.
