Study Of PROFIBUS Test Platform Based On Ethernet

By virtue of its open, interactivity, dispersibility and adaptability, fieldbus technology is rapidly developed and produces a significant impact in the field of industrial control. PROFIBUS is the most widely used fieldbus which is an international standard for factory automation and process automation.Many domestic enterprises have gradually carried out on the PROFIBUS intelligent product development due to market demand in recent years. But PROFIBUS product must be tested by authorized organization for conformance testing to ensure that the products meet the protocol specification. At present, there is no simple business auxiliary testing tool for PROFIBUS products. Companies can't identify the problems in the early stage of product development, which has increased the difficulty of the developing work.A test platform which is consistent with PROFIBUS-DP communication protocol and DP profile, is presented after analyzing the problems in practical application. The test system which consists of the PROFIBUS test platform and the PROFIBUS communication platform, can test PROFIBUS products in early development stage.After deep understanding of fieldbus technology basis and profound analysis of the PROFIBUS protocol, a new test plan which is about PROFIBUS device testing based on Ethernet is presented boldly. PROFIBUS test platform is designed through system requirements, structure and function analysis. The software modules'design ideas and implementation processes are introduced in detail. The flow charts, parts of code and the results are also given by this article.In the system verification phase, the PROFIBUS test system based on Ethernet is applied to a real test case. The test results are compared to laboratory standard test results to verify the correctness of the test system.
