The Fieldbus turn on a new technique transformation in automatic field. With the characteristic of local information processing, it has quickly became the focus in everyone's research. With the internet prevail, Ethernet turn to the industry control and it has become a trend. Particularly the product of embedded Ethernet has promoted the networking for intelligent implementation. Each of the two techniques has the different technical advantage, but they are also inadequate. How to merge the two technical advantages and get the technical supplement will become the important issues of development in the industrial control.Under this background, the task has intensive research of data communication between the PROFIBU-DP and Ethernet. Offer a plan that data of PROFIBU-DP transform to the Ethernet, and mainly introduced from hardware and software.This article describes the strengths and weaknesses in the PROFIBU-DP and Ethernet. Detailed analysis both the PROFIBU-DP protocol and TCP/IP protocol, according to its open-framed, to advance a reasonable design solutions.First, the hardware side, select the controllers that are processors LPC2386 which has the high performance, its most characteristic is the integration of a functional 10Mbps/100Mbps Ethernet controller; Ethernet module use the DP83848C as Ethernet PHY(the physical layer) interface, which is convenient for the implementation of the Ethernet data communication. PROFIBUS-DP module uses SIMENS chip SPC3, which is used by the PROFIUBS-DP in open industry for the intelligent interface. These modules established communication platform which based on the Ethernet PROFIBUS-DP.Secondly, completion of the software design which based on the hardware platforms completely. To transplant embedded systemμC/OS-Ⅱ, then can facilitate to bring about more application task schedule.To require Ethernet technology, transplant embedded TCP/IP protocol stack——LWIP, and to carry out the experiment to verify. Finally, completed the writing of application and passed the test by the PROFIBUS-DP system. Then the PROFIBUS-DP data communication was based on the Ethernet has been realized. Which has a higher reference value for the "a network to the bottom" in automatic field research in the future industry.
