The Research On Science Times's Science News Report

With the development of science and technology, science news has been developed simultaneously. Science newspaper is China's original form of media. As the main propaganda positions and the carrier to propagate scientific and technological knowledge and the scientific spirit, science newspaper has greatly promoted the enhancement of scientific literacy of citizens, and has made great contribution for the Chinese scientific communication."Science Times" co-sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering and the National Natural Science Foundation, is highly authoritative mainstream technology media in China's scientific and technological field of News dissemination. In this paper,"Science Times"with 50-year history was researched and the laws of science and technology media were summarized, which has an important theoretical significance in developing China Science and Communication theory. Furthermore, under the circumstance of developing an innovation country, to enhance the scientific quality of the people, to promote social progress of science and technology, and to improve the social productive forces is the subject of practical significance.Based on the clues of time and history background, the 50-years history of"Science Times"was discussed. The history of"Science Times"was classified into three periods: Science Newspaper, China Science Newspaper and Science Times. The contents of science reports from 1999 to 2008 were selected as a research sample, three kinds of science events, science people and science achievements were discussed and its features were summarized. In addition to "Science Times", State-level scientific and technological media includes "Science and Technology Daily". Comparative studies between the two papers from the layout and content were carried out. In addition, the developing"Science Times"strategies in the new era were discussed in this paper.As the only science newspaper which is based on fellows of China Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering,"Science Times"is orientated in intelligentsia. In order to expand its benefits of science intelligentsia resource, run to the field of science contending and extend its service function, science news report should practice its"internal work", increase its news resource, enrich its photographic report, keep on its profundity of specialty reports and enhance its readability.
