This paper was supported by the subject《A research on plant automated irrigation with water need》which sponsored by the Technology Department of the Station Forestry Administration of China.By comparison with the main routing protocols of Wireless Sensor Network and satisfy the need of this project,we plan to improve the Minimum Hop Count routing protocol.With testing the WSN's important parameters of communication RSSI,LQI,PRR and battery consuming.Based on deeply study of Minimum Hop Count routing protocol,this paper took tested parameters as the evidence of routing together with hop count to solve the problems of original MHC protocol in the period of set-up network and data transmition.This paper gave a solution of avoiding period flooding to set-up network which would cost abundance node energy and network resources.The solution was the ordinary nodes initiative send Join message to set up and maintenance and update the network,and in the data transmition phrase,this paper used ACK and message cache to assure the reliability of data transmition and decrease the message redundancy and network recourses consume,which made great enhancement on the arithmetic reliability,healthy and network lifetime,and reduce the redundancy message in the network.This paper also implemented the Join-MHC routing protocol on TinyOS platform and already used in production environment,and simulated the relative protocols in OMNeT++,compared to Flooding and original Minimum Hop Count Protocol,the behavior of the improvement was obviously.The Result of simulation validated the feasibility of the improvement.
