Biometrics is the development direction of the future identification technology.Automatic fingerprint identification is one of the most reliable and effective biometric technologies.With the development of IC technology,automated fingerprint identification system is gradually moving away from the computer in flexibility,convenience and real-time directions.Research and development of the small,intelligent acquisition and identification system is the hotspot of the fingerprint recognition to practical application.The combination of fingerprint verification and embedded system would make the technique suitable for many kinds of occasions.The author did some deep research on embedded automated fingerprint identification system and fingreprint sersor driver.This paper mainly includes the following several aspects:First,this paper analyzes the study actuality and development direction of the task,and explains the necessity,of the task.In respects of hardware,through the comparison of different microprocessors, this paper selects more functional S3C2410 chip based on ARM920T as microprocessor chip.and selects and designs the peripheral hardware devices.In respects of software,through the comparison of different operation systems,this paper selects open-source popular Linux operation system,builds cross-compile environment,BootLoader,Linux kernel based on new Linux2.6.15.YAFFS root file system,and designs software work flow of automated fingerprint identification system.Second.this paper researches fingerprint identification algorithm,and improves algorithm of feathers matching,enhances the accurate rate of feathers matching.Last through analysis of the structure of Linux drivers,this paper uses more efficient fingerprint sensor FPS200,implements the connection and communication between FPS200 and microprocessor SPI bus interface.Then,this paper designs and implements FPS200 driver based on SPI bus interface. The result shows fingerprint captured clear,and can satisfy the need of practical use.The fingerprint becomes the foundation of future process.
