Research Of Fingerprint Collecting And Processing Based On USB Interface

This thesis is mainly talking about how to use the driving way of the PC machine & USB interface of the peripheral equipment to realize the control and data transmission between PC and fingerprint sensor, finish the fingerprint image collecting and then process the collected data. Such kind of these detailed work made a firm basis for the future study of embedded fingerprint identification module.The first beginning of this thesis is synoptically introducing fingerprint identification technology & Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), mainly about the developmental technology status related with automatic fingerprint identification system, such as all sorts of fingerprint collecting sensors, fingerprint identifying arithmetic and applying types etc.The following part is about capacitive fingerprint sensor FPS200, including detailed introduction of performance and application. Based on USB bus interface supplied by FPS200, we can design fingerprint-collecting nodule and realize designing, making and debugging of the hardware circuit.The key part is expounding the realization of the connection and data transmission between fingerprint collecting module and hqst computer. The content includes detailed analysis of USB bus protocol, Windows WDM driver module and USB driver structure. Then this part compiles and debugs USB driver of the FPS200 fingerprint sensor under Windows2000 Operation System.Finally, using fingerprint image self-character and study for directional filter design and fingerprint image filtering process, this thesis gives a way for resolving the directional diagramarithmetic and directional filter design.
