Recently, with the development of the information technology and the over-changing of the computer technology, the computer security has been concerned exceedingly. As the most popular identity authentication technology now, fingerprint encryption technology has been widely used in the banking system, public security and electronic commerce. Extensible Firmware Interface technology is a new generation of BIOS. It has participated in the personal PC platform from server platform. This will make the EFI technology develop rapidly in the next few years. In the recently years, companies in the PC field around the world are actively research the EFI platform. In early 2006, our country has introduced the advanced technology and carries on large-scale research and development about the new generation security BIOS with independent intellectual property rights and its Relational applications. This project will build a fingerprint encryption system at the base of EFI BIOS platform. It can achieve the computer underlying authentication system which is based on EFI framework.In the first, after analyzing the principle of the EFI BISO platform, the paper proposes the specific solution of fingerprint encryption system hardware drivers. In the second, this paper analyses the EFI specification and the EFI driver protocol model, and it designs and achieves serial device driver, hard disk management driver and USB device driver of the fingerprint encryption system under EFI. Finally, according to fingerprint encryption algorithm theory, the paper studies deeply about algorithm precision and so on based on the EFI technology. The paper puts forward the new method to solve the problem the precision and arithmetic speed caused by algorithm transplantation. This is the first in all the paper about the EFI technology.Although designed the EFI fingerprint encryption system, it largely solves the security of the computer users which is based on the EFI framework and ensure the integrity of the EFI boot components and the legitimacy of users. The paper will widely use fingerprint recognition technology and computer technology underlying EFI, it will help our country innovate and research the new generation BIOS field's technology and development.
