In our country, manufacturing enterprises of cathode copper plate always use the traditional packing manufacturing process during the product packing and producing, the total manufacturing was almost operated by manual, labor-intensive, high-risk, the poor accuracy of weighing with manual selecting, and inefficient, and all these restrict its competition ability in market.In order to solve this problem, the project team used the basic theory and specialty technology of different subjects such as mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, precision measurement, computer-controlled technology. Counterbalance, shaping, compacting, packaging, weighing, Coding, labeling and the auto-control of production line were studied through theory analysis, experimental research and computer simulation and so on. The cathode copper plate auto-packing production line had been designed successfully and this production line is initiated in our country firstly.In this paper, the control and counterbalance system of cathode copper auto-packing production line was studied. The detail content was showed as follows:(1) The research on production line control schemeAccording to the production process requirement of copper plate packing production line, the scene measuring components and executing machine were controlled by PLC. The electric auto-control system adopted master-slave structure which is constructed by PROFIBUS-DP. The industrial computer was set as master station, and master control PLC and each operation control station were set as a slave station.(2) The research on the counterbalance principle of single-stack copper plateAccording to the requirement of futures exchange, the weight of high-purified cathode copper was set (2500±100)kg per bag. The counterbalance principle of "adding one, subtracting one" was brought forward by the tolerance zone that max weight of single copper plate was less than the weight of single bag of copper, basing on analyzing copper plate and locale situation.(3) The design to mechanism of counterbalance stationThe mechanism of counterbalance station was designed on the counterbalance principle of "adding one, subtracting one". The technology of vacuum was used to snatch copper plate. Besides, style-choosing to cupules,assembling accessories,vacuum source was made precisely through relative parameter calculating. (4) The design to controlling system of counterbalance station The controlling flow was designed on principle of counterbalance. The communication module Siemens CP340 was used to realize the date transmission and communication between the electronic scale and PLC. The programming software STEP 7 had been used to design the controlling program of counterbalance system.Basing on the research above, reasonable control project of production line had been brought forward, and also feasible counterbalance mechanism and control system had been designed, so as to offer theory and design gist for the developing of production line.
