The maintainence drawings and technical data of ship equipment have multiplied in moderm time. The question as to be resovled is how to manage there maintenance drawings effectively and how to exploit the the network superiority for the maintenance personnel. This thesis designed and implemented an information management system for maintenance data of ship-equipment. The main work and contributions are as follows:1. We clearly difined the function and operation of the system based on requirement analysis. Then we give the principle of system design and key technology will be used.2. We designed the security method of the system. Considering the requirement in actually operation, we devised the basic configuration and model of function architecture of the system. It can keep secret both in developing period and running period of the systm.3. We designed the fabric and flow of information. It includes digital input method, storage and compress method of different fabric information, publishing and searching method of text information and multimedia information. The hardware and software architecture of storage system were desined, which contains three layers.4. The information system was used in equiptment ensuration. We introduced the operation function and manual for normal user and system manager. The management of drawing file was also descripted.The system is very adaptable in actually application. It can be running in single computer and network. It can satisfied the acquirement for managing the ship equipment maintenance of group, branch company and maintenance factory. Moreover, it is easy to extend and improve. It can be an organic component of ensure platform of every department in shipbuilding corporation.
