The Research Of The PDM And UG Integration Application

With the gradual formation of economic globalization, modern enterprises are facing an unprecedented fierce competition in the market. How to strengthen management, improve efficiency, Develop the products of to meet market needs rapidly, and make it to the market as soon as quickly is the practical problems individual companies need to address. PDM technology is the new technology which is proposed to satisfy the requirements of enterprise. As a further development of a CAD/CAM technology, PDM will not only improve the existing enterprise management system, but also will do the real integrated management of CAD, CAM and CAE, CAPP.Based on the theory of product data management technology ,the adoption of Visual C + +, Visual Basic programming language, connected with the UG/OPEN API that combine to gather PDM and the system of UG , the present paper developed a set of management system with the product model, the structure of management, the product parametric design and the product case retrieval. Its main content is as follows:1. Based on the product three-dimensional parameters design technology and the using of the secondary development Visual C++ to UG, We have realized the mutual call technology of UG/Open API and UG/Open Grip, completed the joint development of the UG / Open API and MFC and applied the database to the secondary development of UG, that Provide the data support for the PDM System Development.2. Established a set of model management module on the UG platform, solved the problem of the multi-model file and inconvenient management and avoided the red tape finding for different users.3. Used VB to develop the product structure management module that in order to edit and manage the product structure of the tree conveniently for user.4. Developed the product search module based on case reserve which is introduced the similarity theory, that reduces the design time of the product model and improves efficiency.
