Research On Case Retrieval Of The Product CBR System For The Industrial Design

With the development of economics, modern design and manufacturing technology have to adapt to a competitive, global, flexible, personalized market demand .How to speed up the development of lower prices and better quality products has become the focus of attention. In the conceptual design , the use of case-based reasoning technology for product design can improve efficiency and success rate. How the case-based reasoning applied to the design of industrial products has become the focus of the study. Knowledge reuse process is the core of case-based reasoning ,only to be similar to the design requirements will be successful in using past experience to guide the design of new products.This issue starts from the point of the industrial design of the product characteristics, studys the process of case-based reasoning and critical technologies, analysises the key step in the search methods and process of case-based reasoning. With the idea of kansei engineering, the issue analysises the attribute of image feature in the product characteristics, and it adds image feature of the product as a search property, then it puts forward a search algorithm suitable to the product in industrial design. The issue constructs a CBR retrieval system, realizes the search algorithm for the product in industrial design, and ultimatly realizes the main functions of the system, finds the most similar examples of industrial design product to the request.
