Research And Implementation Of IMS Automatic Test Tool

IMS is a network architecture based on IP transfer technology, and applications and control services are separated deeply by IMS by using Softswitch technology. In this case, IMS could offer interfaces to all sevices of low layers. Now, IMS has been the main architecture of NGN in China, but consistency, compatibility and functions all need to be deeply classified, as manufacturers must give different solutions with the update of IMS technology. So, reliable test are essential before widely used for public. On addition, along with increasing used of value-added services, the quality of IMS test is more important than before, speed and flexility are required, and tester need to simulate applications rapidly on PC platform before applications used for public. Therefore, research of IMS test flow and test tools have been one of the most important job for mobile phone manufacturers.The target of this thesis paper offers an implemente structure for automatic test and mentions the correlative technology of IMS, simulation, multitask, TCP/IP, C Programming based on Linux and XML language. We Researches the architecture and relative protocols of IMS, and put forward IMS test method and framework based on application flows; Analyses requirements of IMS test seriously and put forward architecture of automatic test tool, in this case, design and implement IMS automatic test tool named TestUA according to IMS test in Motorola, which has lots of advantages, such as flexible configuration, good extendability, reused test case, rapidly simulation and so on; Besides, design test cases and XML scripts, and successfully establish software and hardware environment for test; Test IMS by TestUA and analyses test results.The research results of this thesis have been used during test process in IMS test on mobile phone, efficiency and quality of IMS applications development are improved, and prefect performance are achieved.
