The research of remote measurement and control system(RMCS) is one of the hot spots in the field of industrial automation currently.Most of these systems are specially developed every time,in fact they have great relevance in function and structure,so there are lots of repeated work if re-develop for each system separately.Through analysis and research the commonness of RMCSs,this paper builds a universal model of these systems and puts forward the design of universal platform for RMCSs based on embedded Ethernet. The aim is to provide a basic frame which can be trimmed and customized in hardware and software.Based on the frame,developers of specific projects can develop or configure the actual systems rapidly.The universal platform is composed of terminal controller and monitoring platform software which contains secondary development software and monitoring and management software.According to the multi-channel switch and analog input/output interfaces provided in the hardware,and the hardware object-oriented and modularized encapsulation design utilized in the software,the terminal can be trimmed and customized in software and hardware easily;By configuring the channel and control relationship parameters in terminal,the secondary development software can quickly design the practical application system based on user demand;Monitoring and management software takes charge of storing and managing all monitoring and configure information.In accordance with the reserved analog input interface,the paper puts forward the sensor-independent method of remote dynamic online calibration to achieve the physical quantity regress.A single chip solution for Ethernet connectivity is implemented in the terminal with MCF52233.Based on the Ethernet driver,a simplified embedded TCP/IP stack and Web server is designed for the embedded systems without operating system.According to two actual projects developed on this platform,show that this platform method can improve the reusability of hardware and software,avoid repeated work and shorten the development cycle effectively.
