The ceramic industry is a big industry sector with large energy consumption, and more than 80 percent energy supply is used to the procedure of burning and cooling. Temperature control technology of industrial furnace will directly affect product quality and energy utilization. The temperature in ceramic kiln is affected easily by external factors. If not to regulate stably, the waste energy will affect the rate of finished products. Therefore, controlling the temperature effectively has become an important theoretical project.The Pan Boolean algebra logical control (short for "logical control") is a new computer control theory. At present, the logical control has been applied to the temperature control of the air conditioning, the basis weight control of the paper, vibration control of ship lifting structural and the tall building with podium structure using MR damper. The logical control algorithm has been already used in the temperature control, but it is the first time to be researched in the temperature control of ceramic kiln.First, this dissertation introduces the development and present situation of system control and temperature control in ceramic kiln, as well as the present situation of the logical control. Second, introduces the structure of ceramic kiln, and the characteristic of temperature process in ceramic kiln. Finally introduces emphatically the temperature survey method in ceramic kiln. Based on these introductions, the temperature model of ceramic kiln is studied. Third, introduces the control principle,control rule of the logical control system. The temperature deviation and the error rate of change is taken as the research aim. According to the logical basic theory and control rule. the nine points, the twenty five points logical controllers are designed. Two controllers are utilized in the temperature model and made simulation. Fourth, introduces the research on PID controller, and use the method of the Ziegler-Nichols to sit PID parameters. Use PID controller to make simulation. The dissertation compares the control effects of two different logical controllers, analyzes the response of PID control and logical control. And analyzes the reasons of the control effect. Finally, the process of temperature control system is introduced, and the logical control method is used to this control system.The simulation result shows that the logical control method is not only simple, flexible and convenient, but also able to decrease the temperature deviation in ceramic kiln under the undesired signal effectively. Especially, the control effect is most significant under twenty-five points logical controller. The conclusion is that, the more division of the movement process, the better the system's anticipated performance.
