This article have a systematic research on the establishment of mathematical modeling of the diesel main engine and the development of a synchronous meter of ship power plant simulation system, which are applied to the large marine simulator.Modern marine simulator is an important navigation education and scientific research equipment, by using the marine simulator, the trainees will be familiar with the relationship about all kinds of mechanical and electrical equipment in the cabin, the composition of marine power equipment and the engine room automation system; master the use and management of each system in the cabin, the operation of various conditions, the knowledge and the experience of simulated operations of failure analysis and exclude. The one of the core content of the development of marine simulator is to establish the mathematical model.In this paper, according to the research and development of large-scale marine simulator, based on the thermodynamics, gas dynamics and the diesel engine's basic working principle, established a volume mathematical model on the MAN B&W 6S60MC type large-scale low-speed two-stroke Marine Diesel Engine which is currently widespread used . Based on the MATLAB/ Simulink, take a simulation on the mathematical model, and the simulation results verify the correctness of the model. In this model, the author have a research on the PID control, it can provide a good mathematical model of the control object for carrying out further ship diesel engine control technology.Ship power plant simulation system is an important component of the large marine simulator, combination of the projects research and development of ship power station turbine simulator systems of large-scale marine simulation, the author designed and developed the synchronous meter of ship power station simulation system based on single-chip microcomputer. In this design, use the innovative hardware design and reasonable software development to accomplish a synchronous meter, accord with the request of the low. cost of hardware, stable and reliable operation. The function and reliability of synchronous meter is full compliance with the requirements of the ship power plant simulation system, and successfully applied to a new type large marine simulator.
