Application Of Ext And Web Services In VTS Manage Information System

With the rapid development of the shipping industry, VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) system has played an important role in reducing ship traffics and improving shipping efficiency. However, due to the late start of our country's VTS projects and the introduction of existing VTS equipment being mainly from foreign countries, there are still some problems in VTS management information system in operation. On one hand, VTS management information system is basically via C/S structure, which is difficult, with high maintenance costs, to be upgraded and it can only be installed on the LAN, not meeting the actual needs of the maritime sectors. On the other hand, VTS management information system is basically still a relatively closed system, lacking the sharing and the exchange of information from different departments among maritime management information systems.For these two issues, the following contents are mainly put forward in the paper:First, the study about the respective advantages and disadvantages of C/S and B/S structure is made, and the RIA (Rich Internet Application) with Ext framework is proposed, integrating the advantages of B/S and C/S structure. Then, after the study of present situation of data exchange technology, a data exchange platform in accordance with VTS with the application of Web Services technology is brought forth.Second, deep study about related technologies, Ext Framework and Web Services, is made, including the composition, working principle of Ext framework and the definition, the architecture and related protocols of Web Services.Third, after the introduction of Ext framework, use UML in modeling,design VTS management information system.Then, the concrete realization of the Ext framework process is introduced, taking the detailed design of the subsystem of the dynamic management for ships as example.Fourth, according to actual needs of data exchange in VTS project,taking advantage of Web Services technology, the description for the overall structure of the platform and the process of VTS data exchange is given. And then every module of the VTS data exchange platform is designed. Fifth, the implementation of Ext framework and the data exchange platform in the system is introduced, concrete solutions are given to problems when encountered in pratical application,finally the superiority of the results researched in the thesis is demonstrated through the comparison with original system.Based on the actual work above, this paper provides an effective solution for the construction of VTS management information systems.Finally,for the problems in the two programs,I raised the propose work in the next step.
