Research Of XML-Based Enterprises Heterogeneous DataExchange Technology

Data exchange is one of the main influencing factors of development of enterprises information. Its goal is to realize the sharing of the data in the heterogeneous environment (loose coupling, different data format, heterogeneous platform, heterogeneous area, and so on), thus utilizes resources effectively, improves the performance of the whole application system, accelerates data circulation of information system,and realizes the sharing and integration of the data. But various exchange technologies have many problems when apply to heterogeneous environments. The common question includes heavy coupling, high costs andJ complicated implementing. The emergence of XML technology has brought the new implementation method. This paper targets as data exchange based heterogeneous environment and one general heterogeneous data exchange modle is designed and implemented by the technology of XML This thesis firstly presents the knowledge of XML, discusses the related theory of data exchange of heterogeneous database, analyzes the traditional data exchange methods and problems, discusses technology related to the heterogeneous database exchange. Then it analyzes the possibility of XML based data exchange from the aspects of schema binding of XML and relation database. It investigates the support of the typical database products to the XML. Finally, it develops a XML based three-layer model for implementing data exchange of heterogeneous database .It provides a solving schema for the problems of data exchange of heterogeneous database and implements the data exchange between Oracle database and SQL Server 2000 database by using JAVA API,JDBC through XML under the J2EE environment.Finally, practical application of XML-based heterogeneous data exchange model in enterprises is introduced. The feasibility of model framework is certified in practice, and the defects and further improvement of the system are pointed out.
