The Design And Realization Of Smart Mobile Based On Qtopia And Embedded Linux

With the rapid development of network technology,communication technology and multimedia technology,mobile phones are evolving to the intelligent direction. Integrating more functions in the smart phone platform is bound to a trend.There are many factors inflect the trend,which including the hardware and software resources. In the aspect of hardware,the CPU frequency is increasing,the Memory capacity is expanding,and the amount of modules is increasing.In the aspect of software,the operating system,the GUI and the application become more advanced.It has several years when smart mobile appeared,so there have a few solutions for it.For example,Nokia and Motorola have produced the smart mobile,which use the Symbian operating system.Sasung and LG also produced the smart mobile based Windows mobile operating system.Compared with these products,the smart mobile based Linux is very few.A1200 is the type one,which produced by Motorola.The smart mobile designed by me uses PXA270 as CPU,which frequency can reach 624M Hz.So it can satisfy to all embedded operating system.In the aspect of wireless communication,I choose the GSM/GPRS module and WiFi module at the same time as the wireless communication devices.This smart mobile selects Linux as the embedded operating system and Qtopia as the GUI.Qtopia is a kind of beautiful window software,which provided with rich application.Using these hardware modules and applictions,the smart mobile can send short messages,multimedia messages,make or answer a call.Except these traditional functions,it also uses GPRS network and wireless local area network to access Internet.With the two wireless networks,we can make or answer a call by IP telephone.Firstly,this thesis introduces the project background,the research meaning and purport.Secondly,analyses the project requirement,the design of the hardware and software module.In the aspect of hardware,it includes Memory and periphery modules.And in the aspect of software,it includes the UBoot porting,Linux kernel porting,device driver development,and graphics use interface porting.Thirdly, deeply explains the design and realiation of GSM/GPRS module,WiFi wireless communication module,and VoIP application.Finally,conlude all of my work and consider the future task.
