Research On The Use Of SOPC Technology In Motion Controller

Motion controler is widely used in industry of automatization,space aeronautics, national defense,and people's dailylives.However,usually current motion controller has many shortcomings,such as low speed,huge size,difficulty when changing functions.These have made current motion controllers great resource be wasted when upgrade.Aiming at solving these problems,this paper does some research on the technology of the motion controller base on SOPC.This paper first analyzes the common technology that is used in many motion controllers,and points out their problems at size,speed and flexibility.With meeting the need of real time response,performance scalable and function extendable,a new motion controler is designed in SOPC technology.In this new motion controler,the control arithmetic is realised by hardward and the system was de divided into several independent modules,then this fountion modules are builded with soft IP cord.so, when the system is builded or update,its fountion can be reconfiged to meet system need.Finally,this system is realised on a FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) which produced by Altera.This research explored an embedded motion controller design method based on IP reused technology and provided the design flow of IP soft core in addition,conformation a new kind of embedded motion controller utilize cosmically FPGA.Via modeling the control arithmetic,describe the model with VHDL(Very high speed integrated Hardware Description Language),two IP soft cores are builded.one is control arithmetic IP cord,and the other is USB interface controler.To improve response speed of this system,uc/os-Ⅱrealtime operating system is used to manage multitask system.Software is developed by Microsoft Visual C++,computer exchanges information with Montion Controler through USB and inspects the whole system,sends orders and sets parameters.
