The Design And Implementation Of The Equipment Management System Based On B/S Structure

Equipment management system is becoming increasingly popular in modern society,stress management, emphasis on information. Management of equipment not only strengthensthe equipment on-site management, Implements the team building, but also optimizes thecombination of equipment, improves category management and supporting facilities. In theview of enterprises, the optimization of the equipment management is a basic way to improveequipment availability and utilization. However, for a device manager, there are manyproblems such as different kinds of equipment categorization, heavy workload, referringmany peoper, equipments locate far from each other, no information sharing et al. With thefast increase of new introduction of the equipment types and quality, equipment informationmanagement to meet the needs of improvement for equipment managing becomes inevitableand necessary. The way is to establish the Equipment Management System.This paper introduces the design and implementation of equipment management systembased on B/S structure. In the system, a new management system was proposed. It containsorganizational, management of asset, operation and maintenance, management of specialequipment, leasing management, personnel management and statistical analysis. So we canefficiently create the complete files of technology, ensure the normal operation of theequipment and improve operational efficiency. To complete the system, many techniques havebeen adopted, such as SQL Server2000database, Visual Basic6.0and Active Server Page(ASP) technology and three layers B/S structure. Through this system, we manage theequipment information by the way of query and storage.From the point of network conditions and computer technology, nowadays thedevelopment of is the system of browser and server system. It not only improves theequipment management system of the traditional C/S structure, but also the system’sscalability, security and reusability. The equipment management system of the B/S structure isthe future direction of development, because it can’t be limited by the characteristics of theregion and time.
