Development And Application Of A Web-based Collaborative English Planning System

With the fast development of Internet, our society has come to the age of the web. We are now in a great new era of information. Our life-style, our work and our study are changing rapidly. With the network technology developing rapidly, the education is promoted into development. The modernization of education promoted the development of the contents, conditions, methods of education and instructional design greatly. With the development of information technology in education, teaching and learning with support of web-based integrated systems becomes a symbol of modern education. The Web-based lesson planning system of this thesis belongs to the framework of CSCW (Computer-Supported Collaborative Work) system. Based upon this model and the theories of The Systematic Design of Instruction, Instructional Message Design, English Teaching and Learning, we create a Web-based implemental model for the tool system, including its architecture and functionality. Using this system, teachers can not only make teaching plans according to their own characters but also utilize the system to share their teaching plans and the documents used for making teaching plans. The foreparts explore tool of the system is ASP the back-end database of the system is great relational database SQL server Access. Using the Web-based collaborative lesson planning system, teachers can make their lesson plan better with less time and students can increase efficiency in English learning.
