Domain Chinese Understanding (DCU) was applied to the Manmachine interfaceof Expert System of Mechanical Design, established Knowledge Base (KB) of DCU ,designed and realized the corresponding Knowledge Base Management System(KBMS), to help knowledge engineers to carry out anomaly detection. KBMS couldmake the expert system more intelligent and humanistic.First, has introduced the natural language, Chinese characteristic, as well as KBsystem present situation and development tendency. Second, has analyzed the conceptand the relationship between intension and extension of concept and the variousrelations between concepts. By contrasting advantage and disadvantage to knowledgerepresentation, Conceptual Dependency (CD) theory and Production System waschosen as a method of knowledge representation, built CD tree model and DomainProcess Tree model, designed established Knowledge Base (KB) of DCU. Afterestablished the KB of DCU, the important task is to analyze its abnormal, themaintenance of knowledge is an important part of Knowledge Management. Thisarticle analyzes the redundancy and inconsistency of knowledge base, and given thespecific processes and the detection algorithm. At last, the KB of DCU was applied tointerface of expert system of the machining transmission design, and built the KBMS.The system runs well after debug.
