The image real-time processing is necessary in the industry examination based on machine and model identification. The system based on PC is not real-time with high expense, which can't work smoothly in tough environment. In order to solve these problems, the thesis provides a solution of designing the intelligent camera hardware platform based on CCD, and discusses the timing of driving CCD and the realization of drive circuit.This paper provides a brief introduction and anlysis of both at home and abroad on the status of machine vision system, as well as the future direction of development. The classifications of CCD, working principles, as well as the parameters of CCD are also discussed in the paper. The cause of the CCD noise generated in the hardware, as well as how to achieve correlated double sampling (CDS) method to eliminate noise, is also discussed in the paper.SONY ICX415AL is chosen for CCD sensor. ICX415AL is a CCD chip with interline structure and progressive scan. It can achieve high-speed electronic shutter and progressive transmission. This paper proposes the basic structure, working principle and spectral characteristics of ICX415AL. With ICX415AL the core of the system, external drive circuit, correlated double sampling circuit, the AD converter circuit, the processor interface circuit composition and the structure of concrete implementation are elaborated in the paper.TI's high performance digital image processor TMS320DM643 is used for DSP core. The processor provides hardware video interface and network interface for embedded smart camera, which provides a high-performance computing platform.Finally, the paper gives the verification of image acquisition circuit and shows the test waveform and its test results with explanation.
