Scene simulation is one of the most important forms of Virtual Reality Technology. According to the target of simulation, scene simulation technology constructs the 3D models or reproduces the reality environment by applying computer graphics and image processing technology, and this can achieve vivid simulating effect and can access natural mutual intercourse between the user and the environment. This paper develops the Scene Simulation System of Missile Guidance Simulation platform based on HLA by using advanced development technology of visual system, and some key technologies of Virtual Reality Technology are mainly studied.On the base of the presentation of the modeling principle of virtual reality, the entire system model is established by using the presently popular Creator software, and the system's simulation terrain is drawn according to the fractal algorithm.On the base of knowing the rendering mechanism roundly, this paper accomplishes initializing the missile guidance simulation system by using the Lynx interface of Vega software. The paper realizes the management and rendering of the entire missile guidance simulation system by API function that can be developed secondary in Vega software, and also achieves a simulation of the missile guidance system of special effects, sound effects and marine effects by using its additional modules.At last, the application program of the whole scene simulation system is established by using VC++ MFC, and realizes the functions of scene showing, parameters setting and simulation controlling and so on. The system is also realizing communication with other computers using the HLA VR-Link software. According to the result of the experiment, the missile guidance simulation system satisfies the expected requirement.
