Regulating harmonic and enabling the drums to cut the coal according to the coal rock boundary curve are the important segment to achieve mining automatically and one of the keys to reduce the differences between home and abroad, and it is also important for improving quality and production efficiency of coal, lengthening the life-span of the machine, improving the dependability of the equipment, ensuring worker's security, is greater facilitation in mechanical intelligent control and coal industry to mining.A new system of automatic lifting of shearer drums based on fuzzy-control which is an embedded system is designed. An overview about the developing history, and development trend of the identification technique of coal and rock interface is discussed. then the principle of automatic lifting of shearer drums is illustrated and sampling cycle, memory of sampling data taking kitchen knife in cookery in tangent as the example is proved. Then control algorithm applicable to the system is discussed according to the character and design requirements of the system. According to the analyzing on the control system, the fuzzy rules adapted for lifting system is designed through establishing the mathematical model of the system, joining the fuzzy control theory and MATLAB software. MATLAB is utilized to carry on emulation to the fuzzy control system that is designed, the result indicates that performance is good. And then the control system under different control conditions is emulated , the result explains that the controller designed can respond to the request under different condition, and the dynamic performance is good and state performance is stable. The hardware of system is designed and a brief dissertation of operating system is supplyied finally.
