With the increasing requirement of the depth, the speed and the quality of the loom machine, control system of loom machine tends toward digitization, intelligent and networking in the world. Basing on the background of the application of high speed loom, we construct a hardware platform which takes the ARM microprocessor as the center, and program its corresponding control software.Loom main control system can give corresponding control instructions in time,which based on human input signals or the feedback signals from the machine itself. And it achieves the specific actions which is needed by textile technology, to complete the textile machine control. At the same time the loom main control system provides a good person-machine interface to display all kinds of information that we need real-time.This dissertation can be divided into the following three parts: the hardware of main controller; the software of main controller; system installation, tune-up and maintenance of the stability.The central hardware platform of main controller uses Sam Sun S3C44B0 as CPU and CPLD as it's coprocessor.,and uses other external circuit to control the loom machine. The software platform mainly includes two aspects: software basing on ARM and logic circuit basing on CPLD. On ARM chip we transplant uClinux system to achieve multi-threaded processing effectively, which greatly increased the stability of the system and real-time performance. At the same time, we analysis the phenomenon which arises in the course of system installation, to take further measures to increase the reliability of the system.Compared with the traditional control system basing on MCU or industry computer, this control system is much better designed, which would be more centralized, more qualified and more economical. Now, this system has been used in Hangzhou, WangGu Textile Co., Ltd.The result of applications shows that this system not only further increase quality of the textiles but also gains a good profit and has strong competitiveness in market.
