Vibration test and analysis is the most common means of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.The purpose of this paper is to develop a condition monitoring system of distributed rotating machinery based on embedded Ethernet.In this paper, firstly, the measuring and processing plans of vibration signal are analysized and introduced. Secondly, the design of hardware system includes acquisition and adjustment circuit, A/D conversion circuit, CPLD logic circuit, Digital Signal Processing, embeded processor and peripheral circuit and Ethernet interface circuit and so on. Thirdly, the software includes FFT of DSP and the migration of uClinux and process of application development on this platform are introduced. And the program of transporting data through Ethernet is analyzed especially. At the last, conclusion of this paper and some problems which will be faced in succedent work are pronounced.The success of the development of distributed rotating machinery condition monitoring system based on Ethernet will bring economic benefits to power plant.
