At present, the search for information on the internet has become so widespread that the search engine has become a part of our life. The whole search engine industry is growing along with the vigorous development of the internet environment which is growing explosively. Every time a visitor use the search engine, always produced the potential to generate a specific vendor's business needs. Smart businessmen find, with operations in the relevant search results to be in a better position, which will greatly improve their performance. Then the builders of site have begun to study how to get good position and know the rules. Gradually, the search engine marketing business has become an important area of the web site research.In the paper, we firstly put forward a clear concept of search engine marketing: search engine marketing is based on search engine marketing platform. As the people are be used to be dependent on the search engine,it marketed messages to target customers as possible when people retrieve the information.Then we introduced the role of the search engine marketing and its development process. We have analyzed the search engine marketing than the other online marketing methods and traditional marketing methods, it has many incomparable advantages.The nature of search marketing is to search for those who want to provide them through our efforts. For a good search engine marketing, we must understand the searcher's behavior first. In this paper, the searchers were divided into three categories which were search-based navigation, information and transaction. These three different types of searchers show the different purpose of the act in the use of search engines. Analyzing their behavior can help the builders and the site managers to create a search in line with the needs of Web site content.Then the paper summarized the main impact factors of the searchers click acts: the search results display the title and summary,the results location showed in the search results,the key words density in the searching result,the degree of trusted and so on.Through the analysis for intend and click behavior of the searcher, we can designed a reasonable search engine marketing strategy in accordance with the type of our business.After we understanded the rule of the search behavior, we summarized the operation process of the search engine marketing,according to the basic principles in search engine marketing: identify the target of the Web site - identify the target of the search engine marketing - planed to promote the development of search engine -implementate the plan of the search engine marketing - evaluate and Control the result.Then we analysised the search engine marketing strategy on Thinking Power College Net,and worked out the appropriate marketing strategies. The paper cited the competitive ranking of the four major advantage,so the competitive ranking is more suitable than the fixed costs ranking for small and medium enterprises website. For example: the value of the second and the three,found the low demand keywords, carefully study the rules of paid search, browse daily statistical reports every day.After we implemented the search engine marketing strategy,we need analysis and summing up the results of the marketing timely. Commonly the search engine marketing evaluation results include: the IP number of independent daily,the Page views,the page views by each visitor,the number of pages included by the search engines, Google PR value, the increase in the number of users,the user conversion,ROI and so on.
