This thesis aims to deeply study the high power CO2 laser cutting and welding technology and mechanism for sandwich diamond saw blades. The cutting technological parameters ofΦ350mm series of saw blades have been deeply studied by using Prima laser cutting system in the paper. Laser welding technology of sandwich diamond saw blades are systemically researched with LSM240 automatic laser and transverse flow CO2 laser welding system.(1) The influence of laser power, laser speed, assistant gas on laser cutting of sandwich diamond saw blades is analyzed. The usual quality defects of laser cutting are discussed. The better cutting quality is obtained in the experiment .(2) The influence of beam offset, angel welds, laser power, welding speed, welding line energy on welding quality of sandwich saw blades is analyzed. The ordinary welding defects are discussed. The laser welded sandwich diamond saw blades with best seam aspect and welding strength have been obtained.(3) Welding mechanism of powder metallurgical diamond segment and sandwich steel is researched. The microstructure, microhardness and welded strength of welding seam have been analyzed and tested .The laser cutting and welding parameters with practical value are obtained through technological theory and experimental research of sandwich diamond saw blades. It is of theory and reference value to guide production of diamond saw blades and laser processing of complex material.
