The Design And Implementation Of Application Layer Of Software Of PMN

As the increment of desiring of people for the electronic device, the portable multimedia navigator has rushed into market in China. The characteristic of PMN is the combination of the function of multimedia and the function of navigation. The PMN device is developed on Intel XScale PXA270 chip and use WINCE5.0 as its operating system. The application software layer is composed of GPS navigator, user interface, multimedia player and system activation program.During the period of design the application programs, we have consider the theory of man-machine conversation and hardware structure and balance the performance and price. We also deeply do research on WINCE5.0 operating system and multimedia technology. Finally implement audio player based on DirectShow and video player based on tcpmp program. Besides that we also write a series of user interface controls, develop user interface, solve the technology including double-buffer, battery information dynamic display, multi-language user interface and implement system setting program and activation program.Testing showed that the function of PMN is full, the human-machine conversation is simple; it has excellent stability and fault tolerance. The precision of GPS module meets the requirement; multimedia player supports common file formats and play fluently and achieve the desired objectives.
