Coil winding machines are used to wind work pieces with special coils. These machines are used very widely in industrial manufacture. This thesis research the design of a multifunctional coil winding machine controller. In order to enhance the test of the controller's software, this thesis research and design a software simulation test platform based on VC.Coil winding machine controller is a typical real-time embedded system. This thesis designs the structure of the multifunctional coil winding machine controller. According to the requirement of this controller, this thesis designs the structure of software, and develops with C code. This thesis introduces the embedded hardware, embedded software, real-time embedded system, and basic theory of software test, which include definition of software test, objective and principle of the software test, classes of the software test, process and strategy of software test. After introducing the special questions of embedded software test, this thesis expatiates on the necessity of simulation test and brings forward the method of using Visual C++ to simulate the embedded software testing. This method is carried out in this controller. This thesis builds the complete simulation test platform. This thesis also describes the details of each part of the platform, which includes the simulation of main loop and interrupts, the simulation of keys, the simulation of registers, the simulation of input pins, the simulation of FLASH, the simulation of LED, the simulation of unit test cases, the simulation of debug part, and the check of inter variables.The realization of the method described in this thesis indicates this VC++ simulation test method is very effective, it can reduce the cycle of develop and increase the quality of software; The several parts of the simulation test program are also feasible; VC++ is a popular develop environment, winding machine controller is a typical real-time embedded system, so the success of this simulation test platform indicates this method is universal, it can be consulted by other embedded software.
