TD-SCDMA(Time Division-Synchronized Code Division Multiple Access), member of the 3G standards family, is the first international wireless communication standard promoted by China. Its intellectual property rights mainly belong to China. TD-SCDMA is regarded as the milestone in the telecommunication history of China. Till now TD-SCDMA mobile is still in the stage of further improvement. The TD-SCDMA Mobile's RRC Layer Emulation and Testing System is to improve the physical layer of TD-SCDMA mobile.The system analogs the protocol stack (RRC Layer) for testing the mobile's physical functions. The target of the system is to improve the physical modem performance, resolve the problems found in field test, and testify the advantage of physical algorithm.The system can be divided into four major independent parts, and they are: basic testing case script, configure script for the testing device, analytical Tools for testing cases, and dummy PS. Testing cases script and dummy PS are the core module of the system, based on the experience of testing engineers. The system analog some physical procedures, among which some bugs can be found easily. So the time to find bugs can be shorted and the efficiency can be improved. During the running of the system, so does the DSP debugging tool, which monitors and records the debug trace of the system.The system is established based on the hardware platform supplied by Spreadtrum Communication (Shanghai) Ltd. The core base band chip of the hardware platform is developed by the company itself. The needed testing instrument and debug tools are supplied by Spreadtrum, too.
