With the fast development of CMOS Image Sensor(CIS)techniques, CIS has been widely used in many fields due to its ceaselessly arisen advantages, such as digital camera, medical equipment, industry monitor systems, navigation and space technology, etc and it has wide applied foreground.This thesis presents the history, features and the cardinal principles of CIS. The comparisons between CIS and CCD are also introduced.Then in the system experiment, the IBIS5-A-1300 CMOS Image sensor is used as the research core. Based on the researches on its unique rolling shutter and synchronous shutter and the analysis of its timing diagram, the timing control id realized on the FPGA using VHDL. It initializes the CMOS Image Sensor through the communication between DSP and the CMOS SPI interface. The CMOS Image Sensor is applied in the photoelectric collimation system as the core of photoelectricity conversion cell. Meanwhile it detailedly represents the design and realization of hardware circuit for the system of sampling and processing image signal. And it proves that the preprocessing method is effectual to improve the precision of the photoelectricity collimation system and it is a beneficial experiment for us to design the photoelectricity autocollimation with the character of low cost and high precision.At last, the thesis indicates the deficiencies in the system and how to improve its performance. This these will be a useful reference for other similar system in the involved fields.
