Recently, with the development of the CMOS technology and the design methodology, CMOS image sensor has been widely used in many fields. CMOS image sensor with its many unique advantages to gradually replace the inertia gyro used in satellite, InterContinental Ballistic Missile, and spaceship etc. How to improve the performance of CMOS image sensor, has become a hot spot for various uses.The main objective of this paper is CMOS image sensor for the application of star tracker research, low noise, superior structural design. The simulation project will be carried out, and come to realize the effect of various parameters. Around this theme, the research paper on the following:On the basis of extensive reading in the literature, firstly, this thesis introduces the component, basic tenets and pixel structure of CMOS image sensor. Then, I analyse all of the image sensor noise resources, and simulate the photosensitive element. Simulation results show that reset noise would serious impact the CMOS image sensor's image quality. I introduce a new creative strategy for the reset which can completely eliminate the reset noise. Then, this thesis introduces a CMOS image sensor's noise-FPN another major source of the noise. I analyse the relationship between FPN noise and parameters of the photosensitive element, and use CDS circuit to eliminate FPN noise. Finally, according to the analysis I design the structure of CMOS iamge sensor which can meet the needs of the star tracker. I introduce a new creative CDS circuit. Compared with traditional CDS circuit, it simplifies the structure of the circuit and eliminates the mismatch. On the basis of the simulation it can achieve basically the same results in the same environment and the dynamic range.
