The Implementation Of BS MAC Layer Based On IEEE802.16-2004

With the development of society and the progress of science,the applications of wireless communication technology more and more widely. In nowadays,many wireless communication technology coexist,WiMAX technology has sprung up everywhere with its own unqiue characteristics,even more,it becomes new hot area in wireless communication research field.So,it is very important to develop WiMAX products.Base Station,as the most important part in WiMAX network,means a tremendous economic and social benefits to the wireless communication enterprise who develops BS successful.This paper will focus on the implementation of the BS MAC layer.This paper firstly introduces the background and significane of the WiMAX BS project,and gives the overall design of the project;and then,describes the related software and hardware environment and two chips used in the project,meanwhile,analyse the protocol which the project is based on;subsequently,gives a detailed researchs about the most important part-the implementation of MAC CS sublayer and CPS sublayer:analyse the related protocols more detailed,and lists the functional modules according to the functional requirement,and then designs flow-charts of the mainly functional modules,finished the programs of the functional modules;finally,tests the whole system involved both the finished functional modules and project platform using standard CPE and analyse the test results.According to the test results,the MAC layer implements the functions defined in the protocols,and the whole system can runs normally,and can communicates with standard CPE as well.
