Emerged in U.S.A. in the 1990s,Blog a frequent, chronological publication of personal thoughts and Web links,entered the visual field of the public after 9.11 Terrorist Attack. As a booming individual communication tool on network, blog is becoming a hot topic of communication and web research.As a new form of media, blog exits more than a source of news, or a news reporting style. It is increasingly developing into a larger front that influences the public opinion, forming a free market domain of "civilian" public opinion. The rise and rapid development of blog, together with network forum and web portal, reach the expansion and extension of the public domain to the rest of the field of network. Early in 2006, the Blog Power, launched by the People's Daily Online, together with the former Power Forum, serves as a platform for netizens to swap news on state affairs and current political situations. Thanks to its impact on media supervision, Blog is becoming an important mouthpiece for ordinary people.This paper covers blog space communication in terms of public opinion, ranging from the blog origin, development, characteristics, the relationship between blog and the public domain to public opinion in blog space, as well as blog communication effects and problems. After thumbing down the significance, strength of blog space as a new public opinion front of network, as well as the problems and contradictions, the paper suggests some tentative approaches to the problems.
