Recently, molded pulp technology has developed rapidly and gradually substituted for plastic froth packing in many products'packaging. Compared to plastic froth packing, molded pulp products have many advantages such as material source abundance, simple product process, no contaminations, easy to decompose and recyclable. Because of the variousness and complexity of packing products, the structure design of molded pulp product and the efficiency of molds production become the main concerned problems of the enterprise. However, the rise and development of reverse engineer and rapid prototype technology provides the molded pulp product a great future.The ordinary ways of molded pulp products design and production are formulated in the text. On the base of that, a new design theory based on reverse engineer is introduced to solve the problem of some kinds of products with complex surface which are hard to design by ordinary ways. By the analysis of vacuum filtering process of pulp-molding, the numerical model is founded. Then the design of vacuum filtering mold is improved. The text also provides a new method of producing vacuum filtering mold base on SLS rapid prototype technology. This method predigests the process of vacuum filtering mold production, reduces the period of new product invention and increases the manufacture efficiency.The whole process of vacuum filtering mold production by SLS technology is studied in the text, including of the pretreatment of vacuum filtering file, the optimization of parameters and the post-treatment process. At last, by studies a case of the enterprise, the theories which are put forward in the text are validated.
