Vacuum cleaner as a kind of household electrical appliances, is increasingly widely used, and the vacuum cleaner products and function is increasingly various. Chinese household electrical appliances research institute wants to set up a complete detection system of vacuum cleaner products, which is based on national standard of vacuum test. Using this system to get and ananlysis these performance paramaters of vacuum cleaner. This paper mainly studies detection system in designing the mechanical structure and control method of the movement, and the design of the detection system that consists of sensor, control circuit, acquisition system. To complete the research content is as follows:The first, the designs of the mechanical structure and movement control have been done. Based on the requirement of the national standard of vacuum test, automatic test equipment design scheme is put forward. Through the design of specific mechanical structure, the stepper motor’s paramaters that are necessary for selection had been calculated. Using the paramaters the motor’s mathematical model had been analysised. In order to achieve the precise movement control, the exactly location of the mechanical structure had been calculated. With the help of the PLC programming, the concrete design of the movement control has been accomplished.The second, in order to achieve the precision of each measurement parameter that the national standard of vacuum test requires of, the testing precision and range of the sensors have been determined. Considering the needs of the installation, the sensors have been selected. According to the sensor selection, as well as the requirementsof the acquisition system which is based on PLC acquisition module, the follow-up control circuit has been designed, also the power supply circuit and its interface have been achieved. By the acquisition module programming of PLC itself, the acquisition system has been realized. With the help of the software programming, data display and save had been realized.The third, the experiment platform has been set up, after the success of the commissioning, the test of a vacuum cleaner has been completed, and the required test results have been formed.Finally, make a comparison between the national standard with the United States national standard. In order to get better product performance of a vacuum cleaner, and or even achieve product otherness, United States national standard can be referenced...
