| AVS video standard has been approved as Chinese national standard in 2006, now the standard is at the stage of industrialization. Compared with other widely used video standards in international, AVS has the advantage of high compression rate,low operation amount,low complexity and etc. In order to get rid of the patent rely to foreign related companies, and support the development of national video industry, the research and design of AVS decoder has been done by some companies in domestic.A key part of AVS video decoder—loopfilter is researched and discussed deeply in the paper. Parameter calculation,matrix transposer,filter,timing control and other models are contained in the design. Due to that pre-processed data is stored in Ram previously, universality is performed in the design in this paper. State machine is used to control the design, and according to horizontal filter,vertical filter,different bound-strength, adaptive process is carried out. Compared with designs in other paper, process cycles could be saved a lot in this paper.Front design of loopfilter is finished in this design. Function simulation and verification is accomplished by simulation tool. The widely used Synopsys Design Compile tool and HJTC0.18umCMOS technique library are used during synthesis and power optimization. The frequency of design can reach above 100MHz. Power and area optimization is processed in the design, so that power and area are reduced greatly based on meeting requirement in timing. |
