With the development of multimedia and network communication technologies, video processing has become a multidisciplinary emerging field, and video codec technology plays a vital role in the field of multimedia signal processing. Some international groups have brought forward a series of corresponding high-definition standards with high patent fees, compared with it, AVS standard with independent intellectual property rights as the second-generation digital audio and video source for decoding standards in our country, a more reasonable cost of the patent. Because of AVS video standard, our country's digital video industry can free off the restrict of expensive patent fee by the other countries. So how to implement the industrialization of AVS as fast and good and to promote our country's audio as well as video industries is a matter of priority. It is precisely to study AVS decoder again this background.The dissertation begins with the introduction of the basic theories and relative standards of video coding. And then it mainly researches AVS video coding standard, including main technology of AVS video standard, comparison between AVS video standard and other video coding standards, the IPR(Intellectual Property Rights)status and the development prospect of AVS video standard, etc. It also made further studies of AVS decoder released by Joint Source Code, and introduces the properties, structure and development environment of Blackfin DSP, such as hardware and software have also done a thorough research, including Blackfin instruction set, studing ADSP-BF561 EZ-KIT LITE Board structure.On this basis, the dissertation designs the Coder-Decoder hardware platform on ADSP-BF561 EZ-KIT LITE evaluation board. Relying on embedded uClinux operating system and Blackfin cross compiling environment, AVS video Coder-Decoder algorithm is transplanted to ADSP-BF561 platform. It also optimized the post-transplant code, including project-level optimization, storage optimization and compilation of command structure optimization. The corresponding module function of this decoder is optimized in order to improving the decoding speed.
