Construction Of Online Museum And Its Structural Analysis

Since the eighties of the 20th century,scientific and technological reolution have produced an extensive impact in the world , so that human society has entered computer information age, the progress of modern science and technology are becoming increasingly significant impact on changing people's social life . All industries have been influenced in a varying degrees by the technological revolution, Museums trade is also included in the information-based and networked process.In China, construction of the digital museum started later than the United States',Canada'and other countries'in Europe, but since the nineties of the last century,Chinese digital museum has been showing good prospects. Scholars launched heated discussions on the construction of digital museum and set off a upsurge of construction of digital museum.Because digital museum closely related with information technology,it is a cross-disciplinary ,multi-level emerging field, scholars of each subject explain the concept of digital museum from themselves perspective of different studies,so several different definitions have been born,such as digital museum,museum digital,virtual museum,online museum,and so on. What is the definition of digital museum,there has still no generally accepted definition of integrity in academic world. I believe that the definition of digital museum is:it is a integrated information service system,it use digital technology to transform traditional museum and show its founctions with digital forms,specifically we use Internet and internal information net of museum,effectively combine works in museum with computer network and fully realize funditions of museum.With the rapid development of information technology, the content and form of online museum become richer. According to online museum displaying techniques,they can be divided into four categories: Web links-type, Static type, Dynamic-link database type,Three-dimensional multi-media display type.But in fact, the majority of online museums comprehensive utilize a variety of display technology which make online museum show rich and colorful display forms, and according to the characteristics of the exhibits,display of the content and subject characteristics to select appropriate display forms and organize online exhibition. In order to better construct Chinese online museum ,I introduced and analysised the Louvre Museum in Paris, New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum and Hermitage Museum four Web sites. Websites of the four museum are relatively well-produced site, but because of their focus on the production site are different, the four museum sites in some areas also have their own advantages and disadvantages, I compared four museum website from the language version , visual effects , children's education, display technology, interaction. In order to introduction and analysis of the above, I believe that Louvre Museum Web site is the best website in the four sites, its online collection of rich and diverse display technology, can fully meet the different needs of the audience. It simultaneously has informative, ornamental and innovative, and worth learning.Of course,others websites are also excellent, but Louvre Museum Web site is better than the other sites.According to my analysis of four museum website,I make a few suggestions to construction of Chinese online museum:1. To strengthen to study online audience groups;2.Rational use multimedia display technologies; 3. Pay attention to intellectual property protection ; 4. about the recommendations of online museum store; 5. focus on the development of interactive games;6. on the recommendations of the web site development and maintenance.Online museum and the traditional museum shared responsibility to protect natural and cultural resources for our society, it has the responsibility to protect, research and interpretation of museum collections.At present, due to various factors, various cultures is rapidly disappearing, or at the brink of extinction, the rise of online museum will play an immeasurable role to confirm, understanding, protecting and interpreting these type of cultures, so the building of online museum should be of great importance to the museum profession.
