Research And Development On The Key Technology Of Marine Data Sharing Platform

Different types of marine observation data with the characteristics of grid-like, multi-dimensional and including geographic information, have a strong sense of semantics and syntax heterogeneous. According to the characteristics of marine observation data, this paper designed and implemented a set of data sharing technology through NetCDF data format.On the basis of the original"Ocean Information Grid sharing platform", this paper constructed a new marine data sharing platform, compared to the original platform which consists of five layers, data standardization layer and marine observing ontology had been added into the new platform.The paper standardized data format of the platform by using NetCDF data format which is widely used on international marine science. Furthermore, the paper developed several data operation services and the data adapter services around NetCDF data format in the data standardization layer supporting for various applications.In order to realize data sharing among heterogeneous marine observation data, the paper constructed a marine observing ontology. Marine observation ontology described the marine observation data sorting model systematically which provided experiment foundation for the implementation of establishing the marine observation metadata criterion in the next step.Based on the work done above, the project of Tianjin marine data sharing platform had been accomplished. According to the data criterion established in the platform, project realized multi kinds of marine observation data products by using NetCDF data format and presented the results of the products visually by GIS service.
