Design And Implementation Of Marine Data Sharing Platform Based On The OPeNDAP

Since now because of a variety of advanced technologies and equipments, there have been a large number of data files about ocean research. However, there are many data file formats and many are stored in different areas and departments, it makes us difficult to use these files. It is important to know what to do to store and use these files reasonably and effectively.This project is aimed at the realistic condition of the marine data sharing and studies the need of users to design a kind of sharing platform which can be accessed through Internet to manage the marine data. This paper analyzes the research situation at home and abroad and database management mode, then presents the design, development and implementation of marine data sharing platform based on OPeNDAP. First, the paper briefly introduces the background and development significance, and then discussed the technical basis of the system development, especially about the use of OpenLDAP and OPeNDAP. Then through the analysis of the need and overall design, make sure the system's structure and the system is divided into the modules of user management, file management, data management and system maintenance. Finally, each module is designed in detail and implemented, and the key functions are file management and data query. Through system test, it can be proved that this system is designed reasonably and effectively which can realize the goal of data sharing.This system uses B/S structure, using JSP/Servlet, XML and other technologies under Linux environment. The functions of the system are designed perfectly whose interfaces are friendly and which is easy to use so as to improve the efficiency of marine data sharing greatly.
