Research On The Management And Scheduling Of Video Networked Monitoring Platform

With the flourishing development of national economy, highway shoulders the heavy responsibility of national economy aorta. Highway becomes the main traffic road transport facilities by the outstanding advantage of high speed. As the users and managers of highway,their basic requirements for highway are safe, smooth and comfortable. Surveillance and control on highway running status, traffic facilities and traffic environment by use of video monitor is an important means to realize the operation and management of highway, to ensure traffic safe and unobstructed.Depending on the application on the traffic system network, based on Video Networked Monitoring Platform (VNMP), and combining the advantages and disadvantages of several common monitoring system mode and the demand characteristics of the VNMP building, this dissertation takes the practice demands of expressway system of Jiang Su province as background, and finally proposes the management and scheduling of VNMP. The project realizes the effective sharing and using of video resources by the division of traffic management domain and empower for the basic management concept. In topology, VNMP takes distribute Client/Server construction. In system organization, depending on different functions, VNMP is divided into Authorization Server, Streaming Media Server and Video Demanding Server. They individually take charge of the system's maintenance, the video stream's distribution, and the digital video's soft-decoding and playing. In working pattern, multi-level video distribution can be applied between every two VNMPs, so the video resource of each domain can be shared in common. This dissertation sdudies the management modes of VNMP and media stream scheduling process. It mainly contans VNMP's general frame and working mode, management and maintenance of data, the division of traffic management domain and management level, video resources algorithm and the designing of communication protocol, etc. Meanwhile, the theory analysis and practice design of the technologies referred in the paper is given. These technologies include digital video, video compress encoding, hardware and software decoding, stream media and network communication, etc.After testing and debugging for many times in laboratory and scene environment, this research completes the system's development and the implementation of scheduling and management strategy,and gives the test results and performance evaluation according to the system's running conditions in two different kinds of environment. Eventually, this system is used in actual project environment of Jiangsu province highway network.
