A Web Information System For Development And Planning Office

With the development of society and information technology, the effect of the global informationization is becoming more and more evident. The Internet and the Web become very important ways in which people obtain, publish and transfer information. Under the background of informationization and the rapid development of universities,"Digital Campus"is put forward and it is necessary to improve the management of universities to meet the demand of network, standardization and integration. Development and Planning Office of Xidian University is a functional department which researches, demonstrates, organizes and implements the development plans of the university. In order to serve the university, students, and teachers efficiently, Development and Planning Office requires a network information system.Firstly, the current working modes and contents of the Development and Planning Office are studied and the goal of the web-based network information system is present. Then, the key technologies to develop the system, such as the software mode of B/S, ASP and ASP.NET, C# language, MS SQL Server database, are introduced. Next, this paper analyzes the requirement of the information system and business process. The functions and database of the three sub systems are designed. Finally, the realization, testing and running of the system is discussed in detail. This system already has been put into use. It greatly improves and simplifies the management of the Development and Planning Office.
