Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)technology has the advantages of high frequency spectrum utilization,anti-multipath capability and fit for high-speed data transmission. Through the learning of OFDM transceiver model, thesis gives the overall framework of the hardware platform based on DSP,FPGA,Digital Up converter (DUC),digital down-converter (DDC),whose idea is refer to the software radio, then accomplishes the design of the hardware platform and configuration of the parameters. In the study of synchronization for OFDM system, first the influences of timing offset and carrier frequency offset on the system performance are deduced in theory respectively. Then representative data-aided OFDM synchronization methods such as Sch-Cox method and Park method are analysed in detail. According to the characteristic of the two methods, a new preamble based on the 802.11a frame structure is presented. And according to this structure, a universal delay correlation module and a conjugate symmetric module are designed in FPGA. Now, frame capture, coarse symbol synchronization of the OFDM system is accomplished after debug, and the whole system is running normally.
