Technology of 3D Scene Virtual Roaming in was one of the important contents of Virtual Reality Technology, it enables users to observe and experience the virtual scene freely with human-computer interactive technology, and it had a broad prospect for application in the fields of military, architecture, and tourism. For a long time, most of the system in order to play up the pursuit of speed at the expense of the realistic model of the scene at the cost is unlikely to generate realistic three-dimensional space, and a sense of immersion.This paper presented the overall framework and design ideas of virtual roaming system, focused on the system to achieve the various main technologies. Such as texture mapping, anti-aliasing, LOD and collision detection techniques and so on. The main works are as followed:Firstly, explain the meaning of virtual reality, presented the existing problems of VR in real-time roaming system, and give the methods to solve those problems. Secondly, put forward the virtual system structure and framework, introduce technology of system in detail. In addition, in-depth study of texture mapping technology on the basis of the current anti-aliasing technology gaps, based on Newton's second-order difference of the Mip-map method was suitable real anti-aliasing images. Finally, according to the criteria for VR, put forward based on visual attention of the LOD method, the algorithm is in line with the working mechanism of the human eye, and compared to traditional methods can save computing time and not reduce the scene fidelity, greatly improve the efficiency of calculation. By studying a number of collision detection algorithm, complete the system need to resolve the problem of collision detection. System allows users to roam have a genuine sense of immersive.
