Research And Implementation Of Enterprise Grid Resource Management

Grid is new arisen technology recent years. It is a bran-new network infrastructure and considered as another important progress in Science after the Internet. With the developement of the Grid technology, the IT resource in grid has become more prolific. How to use these grid resource to achive the computing task more efficiently is one of the research emphases in Grid system. Currently the research of Grid resource management emphasizes particularly on the scheduling of grid tasks, only a few research focus on the scheduling of the grid resource. And fewer products of Grid resource management flow into commercial industry. How to keep the high efficiency of resource scheduling and improve the resource use ratio to reduce the IT resource cost for Enterprise is the key point and the difficult point in Grid technology.This paper focuses on the Grid resource scheduling, based on EGO, which is a Grid resource manangement product of Platform Computing Company, taking the Grid computing and the technology of Grid resource management as its background. Firstly, this paper analyzes the structure and the main functions of EGO. After the research on the technology of resource scheduling of EGO, this paper made the improvement on the rationality and the balance of resource scheduling of EGO. This paper raises two new optimizied resource scheduling policies, considering the Enterprise customers' feedback and requirement, and implements the optimizied resource scheduling policies. The tests for the implementation of the optimizied resource scheduling are also included in this paper.
